TIFF’s original merchandise will be on sale, which is also introduced at the 37th TIFF trailer.
This year, TIFF will collaborate with the trending brand SCRE:EN (screen-theatres.jp) from Tokyo Theatres Co., Ltd. , which creates various items using discarded cinema screens, and will together offer “TIFF + SCRE:EN” Original Goods. The lineup includes two types of tote bags that can fit A4-sized items, made from white and silver screens, and two types of standard bags for carrying small items like phones or wallets, also made from white and silver screens (prices TBD).
The screens, which have fine holes to allow sound to pass through, are used as-is, making the products highly breathable, water-resistant, and fireproof—ideal items to accompany your movie experiences. Sales will begin on October 15th, via TIFF shopping site, with some items also available at the festival venue during the event. These cherished screen materials have had numerous films, including, perhaps, some of your favorites, projected on them. Contributing to the SDGs and allowing film lovers to own a piece of screen history, this “must-have item” is sure to be one of the highlights of this year’s film festival.
